Price the piece you can remake without resentment
A good sale that you would dread doing again is not a good sale. It is a one-time escape that teaches buyers the wrong price and teaches you to hide from your own shop.
I ask a simple question before I publish: if three people ordered this tomorrow, would I still feel generous when I opened the workshop door? If the answer is no, I raise the price — or I simplify the piece until the answer is yes.
Materials are easy to count. The second sanding, the evening message, the walk to the post office are not. Put those hours into the number before the listing goes live, not after you are already tired of the object.
On Doshe, the shops that last are not the cheapest. They are the ones whose makers can remake the work without resentment. Price for that future, not for the rush of the first click.
